Lantra Mole Control - trapping techniques

The training will cover the biology of moles providing an understanding of the reasons why they need to be controlled, legislation associated with rabbits and moles that you need to be aware of when controlling them, the types of non-chemical methods available to control moles and when it would be appropriate to use each method, this will be encompassed with practical activities during the training. The training is suitable to learners new to trapping moles or anyone who wishes to develop their skills further in the techniques used to trap rabbits and moles effectively.

This is an assessed course, on successful completion you will receive a certificate of training from a nationally recognised awarding organisation. Anyone wishing to use metallic phosphides (aluminium phosphide) should take The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control training and Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control.
