Description:
This qualification provides training in the use of the ground crop sprayer. The course looks at how to prepare your equipment, the maintenance of it and its safe use. The training is ideal for farmers and sprayer operatives.
Course sessions:
§ Legislative and safety requirements relating to application equipment
§ Assessment of the environmental factors relating to the mixing and application site
§ Reading and interpreting product information
§ Preparation and calibration of the applicator
§ Operation of the application equipment
§ Post-operational procedures
Duration: 1 day course plus 2 hour assessment on a different day
Equipment Required:
§ Spraysuit/gloves
§ Work clothes
§ Wellies
§ Lunch
Prerequisites: Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1)
