This is a one-day Lantra course designed to help your business comply with current and new legislation, audit and monitor resources use, identify impacts on the environment and mitigation measures and improve the sustainability of your business.

4- Investigate impacts and remedial measures/ tools which can be used to reduce Environmental and Health and Safety impacts
5- Understand the use of Best Available Techniques (BAT) and how we can apply these to your business.
6 - Environmental audit of a fictional enterprise and use Benchmarking tools which can be of use to you in your own business.
7- Understand the requirements of Water Resources (Control of Agricultural Pollution) (Wales) Regulations 2021.
8- Understand farm risk maps
9- Understand Farm nutrient management plans
10- Understand Green House Gases
11- Understand Carbon footprint auditing, Carbon neutral and mitigation measures
12- Planning for the future of your business - SWOT analysis and action plans

City and Guilds Safe use of sheep dips
The reason that we dip sheep is to prevent this from happening to our flocks. Sheep scab seems to be increasing. Plunge dipping prevents spread and improves welfare.
Training via zoom for this course will take place on Mon 6th October in the evening with assessments on Thurs 9th October
